Review: Epic Nail Essentials Foil Kit

I've had little experience with nail foils particularly because my first experience was so bad I didn't want to try another. Overall I have to say the concept behind this product is good but the execution not so much.

Designs
There are a lot of options to choose from. There is the option of getting single patterns or you can get a kit which has 6 designs or there is an ultimate pack with all the designs. So you are bound to find a something you like.

 Nail Foil Kit - Essentials

What you get

Application
If you're not good at doing nails in general then you might have difficulties with this product. The first time I tried it only the edges of the nail foil transferred onto my nails. The second time worked a lot better, but there was still a small chunk that didn't transfer onto my nails. There are instructions that come with the pack as well as their website. They were easy to follow but despite this I still had difficulties get the pattern to transfer to my nails.

Tips for application;
1. Cut the roll into a square big enough to fit your nail so there is minimal wastage

2. Make sure that the glue is CLEAR otherwise it will not stick
3. Hold the foils on your nail for a minute or so to help with the transfer
4. It doesn't work on bare nails despite claims to work on bare nails
5. APPLY A TOP COAT

Longevity
The pattern faded after one day without a top coat. Depending on the quality of the top coat it may last for longer but for me it lasted 2 days max.

I really wanted to like this and I do but getting the pattern to transfer is difficult but when it does work it is BEAU-TI-FUL. I will say that you get a lot in each roll so there is a lot to practise with and for the cost I think it's worth it.

Haul: Gerard Cosmetics

In early March I came across a promotion for Gerard Cosmetics which included 2 lip glosses for $20 since I've been wanting to try these products for a while I decided to give their products a try. While I was on the site I checked out the sale section and there was a lipstick and lip gloss combo which was also $20. So I thought perfect... 4 lip products for $40 plus free shipping. In Australian dollars it cost approximately $54.  The colours I bought were; 1. Lipstick in Nude 2. Lip glosses in Nude (light pink nude), Deduction (dark and vampy) and Salmon (peachy orange)  My order came in less then 2 weeks, which was amazing. I couldn't believe how quick it came. However when I received my order I noticed something odd about the lip gloss in Seduction. It looked almost as if the tube was half empty. So I sent an email about my concerns and they responded to me within a day. And this was their response. "Hi love, We are so sorry this has happened :( Ple...

Review: wotnot Natural Organic Facial Wipes

For a long time you could only buy the wotnot facial wipes online. But you can now find them in Priceline for $7.99 or with the travel case (like shown above) for $9.99. While it is very pricey for make-up wipes, personally I think it is so worth it. If in doubt wait for the 40% off skincare sale. Some important things to note, these wipes are: "Certified organic pink grapefruit and petitgrain Certified organic papaya (pawapaw) Certified organic rosehip 100% natural and biodegradable fibre Free from alcohol and artificial perfumes Free from parabens and petrochemicals Ideal for sensitive skin" The wipes are large, moist and very refreshing. They have an earthy type smell which is not off putting...I swear. So don't be afraid if you're sensitive to smells. Not only are these wipes made up of amazing ingredients but they do the job and do it well. I wear light to medium make-up on my face and more medium-heavy eye make-up. And I find that the...

Review: Optiva Aqua-Capture Serum and Nourishing Night Cream

So firstly my skin type is dry/normal. I'm prone to hormonal breakouts. Every time I get a pimple it scars whether or not I've popped it (gross I know). So my main issue are my scars. But like I mentioned I do have somewhat dry skin and I really do feel like these have helped with my dry patches and preventing my skin from flaking.  1. Optiva Aqua-Capture Serum  30ml $24 " This super concentrated skin hydrating serum has a light formulation, which is easy to apply and works deep into the skin. The serum strengthens the skin barrier in just two weeks improving its tolerance for the long term. Specially formulated to offer an immediate comforting and calming effect. Apply after cleansing and before moisturising both morning and night. Clinically proven to reveal healthier skin in just two weeks. " Overall I think this is a really nice serum, but honestly I'm not really a serum girl and this product hasn't converted me. I feel like it's an un...
