Haul: Gerard Cosmetics

In early March I came across a promotion for Gerard Cosmetics which included 2 lip glosses for $20 since I've been wanting to try these products for a while I decided to give their products a try. While I was on the site I checked out the sale section and there was a lipstick and lip gloss combo which was also $20. So I thought perfect... 4 lip products for $40 plus free shipping. In Australian dollars it cost approximately $54.  The colours I bought were; 1. Lipstick in Nude 2. Lip glosses in Nude (light pink nude), Deduction (dark and vampy) and Salmon (peachy orange)  My order came in less then 2 weeks, which was amazing. I couldn't believe how quick it came. However when I received my order I noticed something odd about the lip gloss in Seduction. It looked almost as if the tube was half empty. So I sent an email about my concerns and they responded to me within a day. And this was their response. "Hi love, We are so sorry this has happened :( Ple...

Comparison: Artiste vs MAC Brush Cleaner

General Information Mac Brush Cleanser  Price:  $20 Weight:  235 mL  Where to buy:  Myer, David Jones, MAC stores and their website Artiste Brush Cleaner Price:  $14.95 Weight:   100 mL Where to buy:   Priceline Packaging Both brush cleansers come in a plastic bottle with screw top lid, the Artiste cleanser however has a spray top making easier to use. The MAC brush cleanser on the other hand has a cap similar to those on shampoo bottles.  Meaning you'll need either cup, bowl or the sink to be able to clean your brushes. Whereas with the Artiste cleanser you can just spray it directly onto your brushes. So I just transferred my MAC cleanser into a spray bottle to make it user friendly.  Scent The Artiste brush cleanser has a very very strong perfumed alcohol smell. Which makes sense because the ingredients are made up of alcohol and perfume (I would describe it as quite sweet)...

Haul: Mecca

Honestly you're probably sick of seeing hauls on my blog right? But I just love hauls.  First...story time. I seriously can't remember where I first saw it but when I did, I knew I had to have it.  The colours were so beautiful, the packaging was so chic and the value for money was just too good. Plus with Mecca now trying to compete with Sephora (coming soon to Australia) I knew the Australian price would be somewhat reasonable.  It is...wait for it...the Nars Virtual Domination Cheek palette.  First I tried buying it off spacenk which is an England based company (if I'm not mistaken) but sadly they don't ship Nars products to Australia (what a bummer). Then I was looking up reviews to determine if this was something I really really really wanted. And so the obsession began. I sussed out when it was coming to Australia then stalked the Mecca page for about 4-5 days (not even gonna lie), it finally popped up and I added it straight to my ...

Haul: Europe Trip - Germany and England

Now onto part 2 of my European haul. My next stop was Germany. I didn't get much time to shop here however I did see a lot of cites. I went to Dusseldorf, Berlin, Frankfurt and Cologne. It is a beautiful city lots of trees and scenery... if you're into that (which I am).   Douglas 1. Lancome Visionnaire Advanced Multi-Correcting Cream (sample) 2. Misslyn Rich Colour Gloss in 25 Papaya Sorbet -  €6.99 (approx. $10.98) Last but not least was London. My God is this city amazing. It has a SPECTACULAR history and the shopping was A-MAZING. I will definitely be going back to London.  Debenhams 3. Urban Decay Naked Palette -  £37 (approx. $70.75) I know it's bloody expensive. But I got this on my second last day. Plus with money to spare, and my lusting after this product I got it. And I don't regret it one bit.  Topshop 4. Topshop Lip Bullet in Covet -  £8  (approx. $15.29) Boots 5. Barry M Gel...

I'm backkkkk...so not even going to lie I've been back for a couple of weeks. I've just been trying to settle in and unpack. So I'm going to start off with an easy  (and my favourite)  post.  So first I went to Paris. Which was so beautiful (if you'd like me to put up some pictures let me know).  Monoprix Is equivalent to Kmart/Target/Big W combined with a supermarket. 1. Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss - €4.50 (approx. $7.04) I know that it's expensive but it was on my last few days in Paris and I had some euros left over so I spent it. Plus I really wanted this particular shade since I first saw it on YouTube.  2. Models Own Hypergel Polish in Cornflower Gleam -  €5.99 ( approx. $9.36) 3. La Roche-Posay Effaclar duo [+] -  €11.50  ( approx. $18.06) This was on sale. I'm really sorry I didn't take a notice of the full price but I think it was around  €16-18 À Vous de Plaire 4. Review: Optiva Aqua-Capture Serum and Nourishing Night Cream

So firstly my skin type is dry/normal. I'm prone to hormonal breakouts. Every time I get a pimple it scars whether or not I've popped it (gross I know). So my main issue are my scars. But like I mentioned I do have somewhat dry skin and I really do feel like these have helped with my dry patches and preventing my skin from flaking.  1. Optiva Aqua-Capture Serum  30ml $24 " This super concentrated skin hydrating serum has a light formulation, which is easy to apply and works deep into the skin. The serum strengthens the skin barrier in just two weeks improving its tolerance for the long term. Specially formulated to offer an immediate comforting and calming effect. Apply after cleansing and before moisturising both morning and night. Clinically proven to reveal healthier skin in just two weeks. " Overall I think this is a really nice serum, but honestly I'm not really a serum girl and this product hasn't converted me. I feel like it's an un...
